Education for Ministry (enrollment required)
Thursdays, 9:00-1:00, Youth Center
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique four-year distance learning certificate program in theological education based upon small-group study and practice, developed by Sewanee seminary. The program invites participants into small, mentored groups. One each is devoted to the study of the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, Christian History, and Theology/Ethics. Students follow a structured curriculum of assigned readings, and engage in conversations with their cohort about these topics.
EFM requires registration to attend, and asks students to covenant with their classmates to attend for at least one full year. (You do not have to commit to all four years to begin!) To learn more, check out the Education for Ministry website. To learn about how to register for the upcoming semester, contact Ann Hart (annmorrishart@gmail.com) or Vicki Blumhagen (vickiblumhagen@gmail.com).
