Honduras Good Works
For 2025, a Vestry-approved Outreach grant has been made to Honduras Good Works. Honduras Good Works deploys an annual medical brigade to a remote, mountainous region of Honduras where the people live in poverty. The brigade is made up of physicians, nurses, translators and other staff from a wide range of society. Many of the doctors, dentists and translators are from Honduras. They provide health and education services to the rural population; they also engage young Hondurans who speak English and are seeking to improve their skill with a goal of finding a job where English is needed. Their clientele for medical services, their water filter program, and scholarships for children and youth are mostly Indigenous people or Mestizos (mixed race).
