The Rev. Bill Holder

Assisting Deacon
The Rev. Bill Holder, Deacon, was born in Archer City, Texas, where he was baptized in the Baptist Church. He was in the jewelry business in Wichita Falls, Texas, for 46 years before he retired. Bill was confirmed at All Saints Episcopal Church in 1974 where he served on the vestry, was senior warden, and sang in the choir for over 25 years. He was President of the Episcopal School for 2 years and served as All Saints representative to the school for 7 years.
Bill attended the Anglican School of Theology at the University of Dallas. He was ordained as Deacon in 2009 in Fort Worth. Bill then served as Deacon of the Mass at Church of the Good Shepherd in Wichita Falls for 6 years. After moving to New Braunfels, Texas, he served as Deacon of the Mass at St. George Episcopal Church in San Antonio for 2 years.
After moving to Austin in 2019, Bill started attending St. Matthew’s and was recognized as a Deacon within the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in April 2024. Bill has been married to Rocki for almost 40 years. They have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Bill has been an athlete his whole life. He is now an avid golfer.
